In the early 90’s Real Pictures made this educational video for NZ Customs, for use in schools throughout New Zealand. It was a part of an effort to encourage public support for the work done by NZ Customs whose job it was to police the thousands of miles of coastline and numerous entry points of our country.

At the time, reality television programmes had yet to be thought of, so when “Boarder Patrol” first appeared on the screens 10+ years later, I initially thought it was my production that was being screened.

Of course it wasn’t, and I kicked myself for not realising the ideas’ potential in the years following the success of “Boarder Patrol”.

This video includes a small selection of sequences from the original 20 minute production, and is unfortunately derived from a VHS copy of the lost original.
